Grange Fell

looking East from Brund Fell, the top of Grange Fell

Just an easy bit of exploring today.  Jonathan's got a dicky knee and I'm still coughing and spluttering.  We parked at the Bowder Stone car park and found our way up to the top via various rough tracks and walls.  Once on top, we picked out a better way down and actually did some running, coming back through the woods and along past the Bowder Stone.

a bit less than four miles - nice easy trip out

the area is popular with climbers

more people climbing on this crag

at the wall junction looking back towards Skiddaw

up and over

at the top

I'm guessing the sheep around here can climb ladders

nice route back through the woods

with one or two 'bad steps'

the Bowder Stone

I think this qualifies as a Dork
