Castle Crag 2009

Putting up some old pictures of a walk I did in 2009.  I remember it was one of those really frosty crispy day and I spent the first few minutes walking around in this field in Rosthwaite playing with my new GPS device.

looking back towards Grange Fell and Kings How

that looks like Greenup Edge and Raven Crag which would make the fell behind those houses Knotts on Great Crag? Really guessing here...

very pretty though

bit of colour now, I would guess that this is Longthwaite

Oscar considering a dip in the river

that's ice on the river

Castle Crag, today's objective

Jaws of Borrowdale

Cumbrian Way between Low Scawdel and Castle Crag

Derwent Water and Skiddaw

group of people on the top celebrating completing a full set of Wainwrights - they had brought a bottle of champagne up with them.  Very good idea to leave an easy one until last, hmmm....
