Helm Crag, Gibson Knott and Calf Crag

I've done this route twice, once in the summer of 2009 and once in February 2010.  You can probably guess that these pictures are from the February walk.

Loughrigg Fell, Nab Scar and Heron Pike

First walk with my gps back in 2009.  Wandered up to Loughrigg Fell before crossing back over and attempting a Fairfield Horseshoe variation.  I had to turn around before getting to Great Rigg due to high winds and snow.  Probably the worst weather that I have walked in.  I dropped down to Alcock Tarn and sheltered behind a rock before continuing back down

Not the walk I planned but 11miles and three Wainwrights.  Better than sat inside watching the telly.

Great Langdale St George's Day 10k 2011

I wasn't entirely convinced that entering a 10k whilst in the middle of marathon training was a wise choice.  I have learnt from experience that I may go to a race planning to take it easy but, once people start passing me, especially people that look as though I could beat them, I get a bit stubborn.

I did take it a little bit easy, I could have really sprinted a fair bit at the end but held back so as not to completely do my legs in.  Anyway, got a pb time, booya!

39th position overall out of 205 finishers with an official time of 42.56.  Perhaps I would have gone even faster if I hadn't expended so much energy pacing Hannah to glory in the Great Langdale Fun Run:

Pavey Ark - walk January 2011

This was the first proper walk I had done since my dog emigrated (it's a long story).  It was a great walk, still some snow on the fells.  I also completed the Jack's Rake scramble (something I wouldn't have been able to do with my dog).

Falcon Crag Fell Run

 Just a quick fell run from November.  I had planned to go on to Bleaberry Fell and High Seat.  Both of which I have been to before but have not logged on here but I wasn't particularly enjoying the run on this day.

Ashness Bridge and didn't feel like climbing up again so followed the road back to Great Wood.
