Blencathra and family

From December 2009, a walk with my dear old dog Oscar who emigrated (it's a long story).  There's a fair bit of bagging going on here but it was a great walk:

Over and around the Wasdale Screes

This is a lovely walk from July 2011 with very dramatic scenery.  It would have helped to label the photos shortly after taking them but I'll have a go here.  First off the route:

Latrigg - The easiest Wainwright?

Hannah's third Wainwright.  The shortest distance to the top, and the windiest.  Horrible day today but when I asked Hannah if she wanted to go up a mountain, she said:

A quick tune:

Then boots on,

and ready to go.

Park at Ormathwaite Car park

and head up the path.

Actual words out of Hannah's mouth, "Hello sheep! I'm Hannah, this is Paul."

Skiddaw once again in the clouds

My daughter has developed the habit of pretending she is taking a picture when she is having her picture taken.  Hence, all the squinting pictures.
